What is JROTC?The Army Junior ROTC Program emphasizes character education, student achievement, wellness, leadership, and diversity. It is a cooperative effort on the part of the military services and schools to produce successful students and citizens, while fostering in each school a more constructive and disciplined learning environment. The mission of JROTC is to motivate young people to be better citizens. The goals of JROTC are to develop citizenship, character, and leadership. Emphasis is placed on the student to communicate effectively, live drug-free, improve physical fitness, strength positive self-motivation, work as team members, and graduate from high school. Instilling core citizenship values and development character are an integral part of JROTC. the character education development that takes place in JROTC not only has a positive effect on Cadets, but also has a powerful impact on the schools and the communities it serves.
